Connection Checker

  • Legs, dwell, cut-offs and punctuality, shared by road, rail, sea and air.

One handoff: an inbound leg, a handling time at the port — the minimum connect time — and a scheduled onward departure. Slide the handling time and watch made turn to missed.

Beside the real verdict is the naive check of the times as printed: a wall-clock addition with no zone and no DST. It agrees when nothing moves the port’s offset between the two ends, and disagrees when a DST transition or a zone change does.

1. The handoff

The barge lands at 13:10 in Amsterdam. Forty-five minutes of handling, ready at 13:55. The train leaves at 14:00: made, with 5 minutes to spare.

The onward leg's run time does not change whether the connection is made.

2. Made or missed

The times as printed

3. What scheduleDelivery returns

Worth trying: handling 51, missed by a minute — one minute inside the handling time is still a missed connection. Then the same barge the night the clocks spring forward — the printed-clock check still says made; scheduleDelivery says missed.

Reference: scheduleDelivery is the real call behind every verdict here. For the full journey this handoff sits inside, see the Delivery Scheduler. See the guide’s section on scheduled connections and the minimum connect time.
