Departure Board

  • Legs, dwell, cut-offs and punctuality, shared by road, rail, sea and air.

Drag the arrival and watch the hatched connection bar push the answer to the next departure.

A service every N minutes is three values: the gap between departures, a start and an end. The end is never a departure. The window is half-open, so a shuttle every 20 minutes from 06:00 to 09:00 leaves last at 08:40.

1. The arrival and the timetable

An airport shuttle in Amsterdam leaves every 20 minutes from 06:00 until 09:00 on 15 June 2024. You arrive at 06:12 and need 10 minutes to reach the stop, so the 06:20 is gone and you make the 06:40.

Timetable

Every time needs its offset: 2024-06-15T10:05:00+03:00, or a zoned string written with its offset.

2. The departure you can make

3. What nextDeparture returns

4. Send it on

Worth trying: arriving exactly at the end of the service window leaves no departure, and that is a correct answer, not a failure. Then the ferry list with no connection time: the 10:30 is made, and the connection time changes nothing.

Reference: nextDeparture finds the departure and scheduleDelivery takes it on. See the guide’s next departure section, and the Connection Checker for one handoff’s handling time.
